Facelift!

Saturday, September 22nd, 2007

Welcome to the flip side of version 4.0. I sincerely apologize for the downtime—I tried to keep it as short as possible.

The purpose of this facelift was to (1) bring the design up to date, and (2) address some issues with the inner workings of workbenchmusic.com. I was never happy with version 4’s news & feedback system. It did the job, but it wasn’t flexible. Another quirk of version 4 was how vertically challenged it was, and that will no longer be an issue.

On the music side, also new is a very, very short preview of my current project. You’ll find it here. Keep in mind that I’ve only been working on this for the past couple months—it’s pretty fresh and likely to change before release.

This next album will have a different sound, and I thought it’d be fun to share some early stuff with you (It should also answer the “are you working on a new album” question).

Shop Revamp!

Sunday, April 9th, 2006

Good news everyone! You can now purchase the albums via PayPal, and download high-quality mp3’s right away. It’s much cheaper, sounds just as good, and almost instant. You can purchase individual songs or entire albums, it’s up to you (the albums include printable artwork). It’s all happening here.

Feedback is, as always, most welcome: see here for the contact form.

thank you

The response to the new design has been overwhelmingly positive. Since the launch in February, workbenchmusic has been featured in The CSS Vault, Wow Factor, and several other design related websites. It’s quite an honour.

I would also like to thank those who left feedback about the music—I’m glad you enjoyed what you heard.

Major site update

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2005

Welcome to version 4.0! It took a bit of work, but workbench-music.com is now standards compliant. This is a big milestone for the site, and it coincides well with the recent release of the album detour.

During the past week I have also recovered several good oldies that I will be adding to the b-sides soon. More to come…
